Job Summary

The Clinical Director is an integral part of the Leadership team and is responsible for strategically planning and developing Chosen’s clinical program to achieve growth and success. This position will be responsible for the organizational development and clinical supervision of all clinical staff. The Clinical Director supports the development and implementation of tools and training curriculum and implements policies, procedures, and modalities to drive forward a culture of trauma-responsive care.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define program scope, goals, measurement tools, and deliverables that support Chosen’s mission in collaboration with Executive Leadership and Board
  • Evaluate and alter clinical functions regularly to align with mission
  • Lead and pace set clinical team meetings
  • Define and pursue organizational advancement opportunities in the sector
  • Present program progress and projections to community, Board, and staff
  • Clearly communicate program materials and issues to other staff teams to ensure alignment
  • Deploy resources efficiently and effectively toward clinical expansion
  • Spearhead organization-wide trauma-responsive clinical initiatives and modalities
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Licensure in Texas required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field preferred
  • Minimum ten years of extensive experience in the delivery of clinical service
  • Proven experience leading program expansion and scaling an organization
  • Experience managing key relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate Chosen’s mission and program offerings
  • Demonstrated experience in working in fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in the child welfare and/or mental health sector


  • Quiet workspace and high-speed internet and phone connection to support telehealth services and video conferencing
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk or other work area
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
