The Reality

As an administrator or social worker, navigating the complexities of risk prevention, policy reform, and mandated reporting can be overwhelming. Problematic sexual behaviors (PSB) present unique challenges that impact safety, permanency, and overall system stability.

Almost 80% of foster parents surveyed reported that PSB led to their request for a child’s removal from their home. When staff and caregivers are not equipped to handle these behaviors, stress increases, and unhealthy or unsafe situations can develop.*
