The Reality
Children in foster care face an elevated risk of Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB) due to trauma. Despite the risks these behaviors pose to safety and permanency, many residential treatment staff report feeling ill-prepared to address PSB, leading to increased workplace stress.
There is hope for families and children who have experienced problematic sexual behavior. Children demonstrating these behaviors are quite responsive to treatment, especially when well-equipped caregivers are actively involved.*
This training equips treatment staff with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to create safe environments, support positive outcomes for children experiencing PSB, and reduce workplace stress.
