New Braunfels, TX – Chosen Care, Inc. (Chosen) has earned national accreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA). Chosen provides a custom Model of Care to adoptive, foster, kinship, and reunified biological families in a secure, telehealth format.

This accomplishment is a significant milestone for us, enabling us to continue delivering consistent, excellent service to clients and all stakeholders, as we scale the organization” said Jenni Lord, CEO Chosen Care, Inc.

Organizations pursue accreditation to demonstrate the implementation of best practice standards in the field of human services. COA evaluated all aspects of Chosen’s programs, services, management, and administration before awarding this designation. Becoming accredited is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

COA accreditation is an objective, independent validation of an agency’s performance. The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice.

The COA standards are developed in consultation with a standard advisory panel comprised of subject matter experts, agency leaders, and service providers. This multi-stage standards development and the vetting process involves a diverse set of experts and ongoing feedback from those in the field. The surveyors also conducted extensive observations and interviews with both Board and staff members.

“COA’s program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high-performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services,” says Jody Levison-Johnson, President & CEO, Council on Accreditation. “COA is proud to recognize Chosen Care, Inc. as one of these outstanding providers, and we wish you the very best in your continuing work with the individuals you serve.”

About COA

Founded in 1977, COA is an independent, not-for-profit accreditor of the full continuum of community-based behavioral health care and social service organizations in the United States and Canada. Over 2,000 organizations — voluntary, public, and proprietary; local and statewide; large and small — have either successfully achieved COA accreditation or are currently engaged in the process. Presently, COA has a total of 47 service standards that are applicable to over 125 different types of programs.

An endorsement of COA and the value of its accreditation process is reflected in it being named by the US State Department as the sole national independent accrediting body under the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption to accredit intercountry adoption service providers.
