The feature film “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” – in theaters July 4 – tells the powerful true story of one East Texas community coming together for vulnerable children.
When a community joins together for the sake of vulnerable children, what once seemed impossible becomes an incredible story of redemption.
“Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” shines a light on the foster care crisis in the U.S. and the great need for families to step in and provide stable, loving homes for children in vulnerable circumstances.
The film is inspired by the true story of a rural East Texas community and follows Reverend Bishop Martin and his wife, Donna, as they bring their community together to step into the world of foster care, ultimately adopting all 77 children waiting to be adopted in their area. The film is produced by Letitia Wright, known for her role in Black Panther, and features actors Demetrius Grosse, Nika King and Elizabeth Mitchell.
We hope you’ll take this unique opportunity to see “Sound of Hope,” not only to experience the beautiful story, but because supporting films like these means more people will have the opportunity to see the great need for more foster and adoptive families.
