Value of Education
A critical shift is needed. In addition to social shame, rejection, and isolation, PSB brings a stigma that creates enormous barriers to permanency. Proper support and training is critical to reduce these negative impacts and foster positive outcomes.

Filling a Critical Knowledge Gap
Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) in children can create significant stress among care-taking adults1,2. Foster and adoptive parents, along with their support networks, often lack the necessary skills to manage these behaviors, with a very limited percentage receiving adequate training to do so. Displacing Shame addresses this gap by providing critical, trauma-responsive training and resources for child welfare administrators, residential care staff, faith organizations, and caregivers.
