Elizabeth Aleman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor dedicated to providing services to adolescents, young adults and families; covering a multitude of issues including trauma-based behaviors, mental health struggles and challenges met while navigating the foster care system. As a clinician, Elizabeth has spent most of her career working with children, adolescents and families; primarily working with youth in the foster care system who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect.
Elizabeth is also a certified Therapeutic Crisis Intervention trainer and took an active role in implementing Texas Building Bridges Initiative by championing it in a residential treatment setting and giving the foster youth served a voice. She also brings multiple years of experience in behavior management interventions, providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults while working in a community mental health clinic setting, serving as co-chair for Guadalupe County Community Resource Coordination group, providing wraparound services as a wraparound facilitator and specializing in crisis intervention.
Elizabeth is passionate about serving others through her home church and her clients at the Oakwood counseling center, volunteering for community events and mentoring neighbors. She enjoys spending time with her family, she loves animals, traveling near and far for new experiences and sharing how God’s love, mercy and grace has impacted her life.
