Working Together in Houston
Community partners join forces to bring hope to a foster family navigating unimaginable trauma. On any given day, thousands of Houston’s children are in foster care. Many more are at risk of entering foster care due to abuse, neglect, and/or family instability.
On behalf of these children and their families, The Riverside Project brings together various organizations and individuals, working AS ONE to see children heal and families thrive.
The stories that result are beautiful. This video tells a powerful story of collaboration between the Foster Care Advocacy Center, Chosen Care, Presbyterian Children’s Homes, The Riverside Project to support The Gray Family as they welcomed two young boys into their family.
On the heels of our recent time together, I wanted to share with you the Riverside Project’s documentary about how Houston-area organizations collaborated to help three children who had experienced unspeakable trauma. You met MacKenzie at our lunch and heard some of that story.
A community worked together so that these children could begin healing in a safe, loving home. The family needed support and the children needed deep, lasting help.
Chosen was a part of this story. It’s the work we do every day.
Jenni Lord, Chosen Founder & CEO, shares what a privilege it is to be a part of such powerful stories: “If we can give families what they need, just our little portion, to help them keep going, its a huge win”.
More of these life-changing services are needed in Houston. We’d welcome your partnership today.
