Kelly was born and raised in the small, rural community of Eatonton, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia College and State University with a BS in Early Childhood Education however instead of beginning a career teaching children, she chose a different path. She followed in her mother’s footsteps by starting her lifelong career as a Social Worker with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services in 1993. Kelly has been privileged to serve families through various roles within the Division over the last 29 years most of which has been in leadership roles developing child welfare practitioners. She currently resides in the Lake Oconee area with her fur baby Stymie. She is a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and enjoys hiking, yoga, and all things nature. Kelly is passionate about serving others and thrilled to support the mission and vision of Chosen.
